October 2025
We are delighted to bring you the 6th Edition of the Rat River Health Council 2008 Inc. (RRHC) ENewsletter. RRHC was established in 1994 by the community and for the community to pursue quality healthcare services. We proudly support and promote services provided by the De Salaberry District Health Centre, as well as those by private and non-profit organizations within the RM of De Salaberry, the Village of St-Pierre-Jolys and the RM of Ritchot.
FROM THE ST PIERRE MEDICAL CLINIC
The St. Pierre Medical Clinic is taking measures to adapt to the evolving emergency and primary care needs of the community. Physicians, including those supporting from other clinics, are working diligently to ensure essential services are maintained. Nurse practitioners are supporting these efforts by expanding their roles in support of the clinic, allowing physicians to dedicate more time to emergency care and hospital services. BE A HEALTH REPRESENTATIVE
Has your organization been approached by your municipal government to nominate a health representative? If yes, please respond ASAP. The RM of Ritchot, the RM of De Salaberry and the Village of St-Pierre-Jolys need your help so we can work together with the health care system to keep our residents healthy. Health representatives will be the way your organization can provide ideas and receive information related to health care.

Hello, my name is Alex Dacquay. I am passionate about mental health, and I am an aspiring future mental health nurse. I work as a Health Care Aid in psychiatric units since last year. I enjoy spending time with friends and family and being outdoors. I am thrilled to be here.
Hi all, my name is Hanna Bédard. I am particularly passionate about health equity and advocacy, women’s health, and supporting initiatives that foster stronger community connections. In my free time, I enjoy reading and volunteering at local community events.
Hi there! I’m Kiera Legault. I am currently thinking of working in pediatrics or surgical nursing but also considering travel nursing! My favorite downtime activities are reading and spending time with friends and family. I am really looking forward to working in your community and experiencing community nursing.
