WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER, AS YOU LOOK THROUGH A HEALTH LENS?

Municipalities exist to make important decisions about the local services, programs, facilities and infrastructure that citizens rely on every day. The municipality is responsible for providing the following services: road maintenance, waste management, fire services, land use planning, building inspections, emergency management, weed control, water and sewer services and recreation.

The St-Pierre/De Salaberry Handi-Transit Corporation is responsible for the Handi-Transit services in the Village of St-Pierre-Jolys and the R.M. of De Salaberry. The Handi-Transit is designed to be utilized as a means of transporting the Mobility Disadvantaged, Senior Services, and the General Public to and from appointments. Services to Seniors partners with local, non-profit organizations to deliver community programs. Coordinators recruit and place volunteers to assist older adults (55 +) and low-income adults to maintain their independent living status. Services vary based on local need, but may include: Safety Checks; Errands and deliveries; Completion of forms; Free Income tax; Friendly visiting; Health fairs and newsletters; Information and referral; Emergency Response Information Kit (ERIK); Support Groups; Translations
