WHO DO YOU OFFER YOUR SERVICES TO?

Public: All ages, Individuals, Families and Groups

WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER, AS YOU LOOK THROUGH A HEALTH LENS?

The work of Healthy Living is to: Provide community driven solutions, such as grants, new ideas to approach problems, and evidence-based interventions; Offer connection and navigation, reach groups of people with information and resources, link to the healthcare system, provide provincial advocacy and community health data; Help with networking by bringing together groups for broader goals and greater impact; Assist with capacity building by strengthening individual and communities knowledge and skills; Strive to change organizational practices to improve health through regulations, shaping norms, and informing policy.

WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER, THAT PEOPLE KNOW LESS ABOUT?

Healthy Living Facilitators are available to support and work alongside communities in the ways listed above. They bring knowledge and work with communities own expertise to develop community driven solutions that target the social determinants of health. If illness can be prevented, and inequities addressed, the whole community benefits with less poverty, happier people, active people, employment, and being safely housed. Healthy Living provides annual funding to community groups through the Healthy Together Now grant, as well as regular funding for capacity building initiatives. A Healthy Living Facilitator sits on the Réseau St. Pierre Network, and does other work and provides connection as requested by community organizations.
